【Made in Japan】
Real Japanese tools made by the artisans of Seki in Gifu Prefecture.
【Scissor Style, Multipurpose】
The sharp and short cutting point makes it ideal for precision wire cuts close to the trunk and branches. The scissor style loop handle gives it versatility: it can cut foliage so it can be used for general ikebana and gardening tasks.
It is designed to cut small to medium copper and aluminum bonsai, up to 3.5mm in diameter. It can also cut up to 14 gauge floral wire.
【Notched Blade, Resin Handle】
The stainless steel notched blade prevents the wire from slipping away when cutting and is resistant to rust. The resin handle prevents wear and makes it comfortable to use.
Ikebana Artist and Instructor
I've always relied on pliers for wire cutting in my ikebana practice, as cutting with ikebana scissors can damage them. However, trying out the Wazakura wire cutter has been a game-changer. It's a lightweight tool that easily fits into my ikebana kit alongside my other tools.
What stands out is its user-friendliness and efficiency. The cutter's sharpness allows for smooth cuts through various wires, including aluminum, floral, and iron wires. The comfortable grip adds to the ease of use, making it a breeze to handle during arrangements.
Another advantage is its minimal maintenance requirement, a big plus for someone who appreciates practical and low-maintenance tools. This wire cutter has seamlessly integrated into my ikebana routine, and I'm pleased with its convenience."
