My pair of Yasugi 7” Traditional bonsai scissors excel during root-work. These high-strength scissors cut through thick roots cleanly, important for healing. They are also precise enough to trim fine roots, allowing me to work quickly without having to constantly swap tools. Root scissors often come into contact with soil and debris, but I find the Yasugi steel holds its edge, resisting dullness well. Given how sharp they are straight out of the box, I’m confident I will be able to hone the blades easily - when the time eventually comes.YouTube

i use these as a general purpose scissors , so for everything i do in bonsai. and they never let me down
First impressions seem to be great in terms of look, feel, sturdiness and quality. Looking forward to seeing how these scissors perform over a longer period of time.
These shears cut cleaner than the usual pruning shears and are sharp enough to cut rather than tear. I bought these to replace a pair that I have had for 30 years. I trust these will last a similar time.
