Ideally, the cutting edge comes out slightly about the thickness of 0.05 to 0.2㎜ evenly and parallel to the sole.

Hit the corner of the front of the body, and the blade will be drawn inside the sole. Hit the left and right sides alternately when you do this

【Caution】
Hitting only in the middle may cause the body crack

Surprised how ready to cut this plane was!

"Received the plane. After tapping the blade out I was surprised to see how well ground, polished and sharp it was right from the factory! All I did was a light stropping on leather, put the blade back in and began planing. Shavings were very thin once the correct blade depth was reached.

I'll eventually do a fine tuning and sharpening of this plane, but again I was surprised how ready it was out of the box (it comes in a bag actually)"
